Karen
Saunders is a graduate of California State University, Northridge, with
degrees
in Biology and Physical Therapy. Her
twenty-year
career working with severely injured people expanded her interest in
human
vulnerability and resilience.
She is
particularly fascinated by the large consequences of seemingly
transient
decisions and chance events and explores these phenomena in non-fiction
and
fiction.
She has recently been working
as a grant writer while continuing her own work. Years
of traveling have left the mark of
wanderlust, though these days Karen stays close to home in Northern
California
where she enjoys gardening, reading, daydreaming, nature hikes, and
urban
jaunts in San Francisco.
