Melody S. Gee grew up in Cerritos, California, around her grandfather’s Chinese take-out restaurant. Her first poetry collection, Each Crumbling House, won the 2010 Perugia Press Book Prize and was released in September 2010. Other poems appear or are forthcoming in Blackbird, Crab Orchard Review, Georgetown Review, The Greensboro Review, and The Bitter Oleander. Currently, she teaches writing at Southwestern Illinois College and lives in St. Louis, MO.
