Stone's Throw welcomes submissions in fiction, poetry, nonfiction, art, and brief accounts of daily life from around the world.

Fiction Editor
Russell Rowland has published two novels, In Open Spaces (Harpercollins 2002) and The Watershed Years (Riverbend 2007). He has an MA in Creative Writing from Boston University, and has taught writing at BU, St. Mary's College, where he was a Writer-in-Residence, Gotham Writing Workshops, and now at Montana State University Billings. He has been a MacDowell fellow, and his stories have appeared in various publications. He was a fiction editor for The Smoking Poet. For more on Russell, visit www.russellrowland.com.

Poetry Editor
Tami Haaland's collection of poetry, Breath in Every Room, won the Nicholas Roerich First Book Prize. Her work has been included in Letters to the World, Montana Women Writers: A Geography of the Heart and has appeared in a variety of journals. She received an MFA in poetry from Bennington College and is an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at Montana State University Billings.

Assistant Editor
Malia Burgess is a 2008 graduate of Montana State University Billings, where she studied under Sue Hart and Tami Haaland. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Writing from Pacific University. Malia's poetry and fiction have been published in The Rook and eXceed Magazine, and she has participated in the High Plains BookFest and Yellowstone Writing Collective events.

Guest Editor
Danell Jones’s poetry, fiction, essays, and reviews have appeared in various publications including the Denver Quarterly, Beyond Baroque, Red River Review, Ginko Tree Review, Sow’s Ear Poetry Review, Tonopah Review and Virginia Woolf:  Themes and Variations. She has a Ph.D. from Columbia University and is currently a Visiting Associate Professor at Montana State University, Bozeman.  Her book on Woolf and creative writing, The Virginia Woolf Writers’ Workshop: Seven Lessons to Inspire Great Writing  (Bantam) recently came out in paperback.

All editors evaluate nonfiction and art submissions.
